SUPER HYPO CARROT TAIL

AKA: SHCT

Genetics:  Polygenetic

Mutation: Colour and Pattern

Comments:  This is a line bred trait, created using two different line traits - the Super Hypo and the Carrot-Tail.  These are bred together and the best of the off-spring are then bred together to enhance the colour, then the cycle is repeated.

Super Hypos, or Super Hypomelanistics to give them their full title, have orange bodies with no black spots - the heads can have a few spots.  The 'lesser form' is the Hypo (Hypomelanistic), which can have body spots.

I also have in my collection SHCT-Baldies, which have a patternless head, or Bald head, hence the name.

The Carrot-Tail is a line trait developed by Ray Hine.  The definition of the carrot-tail is at least 30% of the tail is orange.
