Welcome
to SC Reptiles - Royal Python Morphs, this site is dedicated to the breeding of Royal Python
Morphs. Royal Pythons are undoubtedly my favourite snakes. My
collection
is relatively small compared to some of the major breeders, that is the
way I like it! That way I am able to concentrate on quality and not
quantity. The collection has some beautiful colour and pattern morphs,
just see my Collection Page. I have selected morphs that interest me,
whether it is their appearance or their potential when crossing with other
morphs. Take for instance the Pastel, lovely snake, but cross it with a
Spider or Cinnamon and out pops the stunning Bumblebee or Pewter
respectively.
My interest in Royal Pythons
came directly from my fear of snakes, which I decided to deal with head
on, by owning one! Why Royal Pythons? Well my fear is worst for thin,
fast moving, snappy snakes – obviously this is the total opposite of the
Royal Pythons. After much research and chewing of nails, I purchased a
baby female from a local shop where she had been bred. When I got her
home I sat for several minutes gaining the courage to move her from her
travel box to the vivarium. Eventually I managed to release her into the
vivarium and very quickly locked her in. Over the next few weeks I would
gently stroked her back, building up my confidence and finally started
holding
her. For over a year I still felt nervous when holding her, but
due to her outstanding placidness I learned to control my fear. Now I
have no fear of Royal Pythons and have expanded my snake collection to
include a Boa Constrictor and amelanistic Corn Snake.
Other
animals in my collection are dogs, newts, frogs, toads, tortoises, a pair
of Rhinoceros Iguanas, a trio of
Fiji Island Banded Iguanas, a pair of
Blue Tree Monitor Lizards
and a collection of
Leopard
Gecko Morphs. For
more information on these lizards please visit my other
Websites. I am very proud of
my collection and place every effort in the care and welfare of all the
animals.
I
hope you enjoy this web site. It was created entirely by myself and will
be regularly updated so please keep revisiting.
